Horses for Hope (Equine Assisted Narrative Therapy Program) invites members and supporters of North East Thoroughbreds to a Demonstration Day being held this Friday November 30th.

The purpose of this event is twofold:

1) To provide a short demonstration of the processes we use in Horses for Hope to assist traumatised people in taking control of their emotions and, by extension, their lives. We also wish to explain why the program also relies on troubled horses, and how they too can benefit from participation in the program.

2) Horses for Hope is an innovative and extremely effective program which, though well known and respected, appears not to be widely understood. We feel this is one reason it has not enjoyed greater support from within the 'equine industry'. As we are rapidly approaching the point where we can  no longer afford to deliver the program without greater financial assistance we are hoping that by creating a greater awareness of the program among local businesses involved in horse breeding we may be able to secure the program's future.

However, please rest assured that we have no intention of exerting any pressure on those attending the demonstration. Our main aim is to raise awareness of what Horses for Hope is and how it works.

If you would like to find out more about Horses for Hope you can visit www.horsesforhope.org.au or contact
Dominique Cosgriff (0437 849 280) who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The demonstration will take place at Shepparton Equestrian Centre, 850 Mitchell Rd Kialla. It will commence at 12pm and finish at approximately 1.30pm followed by a light lunch.

For catering prurposes it would be great if you could contact Dominique by 10am this Thursday.

Located only 1 1/2 hours north of Melbourne, the NE region is the ideal location for Victoria's thoroughbred homeland.

The area has already produced, and will continue to do so, some of Australia's top stallions due to a perfect blend of climate and knowledge.

AND the area has been home to some of the greats of the Australian turf - including current superstar BLACK CAVIAR who was born and raised at Gilgai Farm.
