Tourism and Events

The 2008 CRT Victorian Country Thoroughbred Festival promised to build on its inaugural year (2007) and to evolve into one of the must attend events on the Thoroughbred racing/breeding calendar.

In 2007, the Victorian Country Thoroughbred Festival hosted more than 2000 thoroughbred enthusiasts, for two days of activities including:

• A regional showcase of stud and winery tours (Saturday) including scenic Helicoptor flights
• A black tie awards function for the North East Thoroughbred Breeding Industry (Satuday)
• A VOBIS Super Sunday of racing at Seymour (Sunday)
• More than 50 Trade Exhibitors, showcasing the latest technologies and ideas to the Thoroughbred Industry (Sunday - at the race day).

In 2008, the Program of Events has been extended to include Friday, with Key Note Speakers. On Sunday, there will be more than 60 exhibitors keen to showcase the latest product for the Thoroughbred industry.
